Washington man sentenced to 40 months in prison for sexually abusing deaf minors

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, a Washington, DC man has been sentenced to 40 months in prison for sexually abusing three deaf victims, including two minors.

On June 28, 29-year-old John'Ta Price pleaded guilty in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to second-degree sexual abuse, attempted stalking and attempted extortion.

Price stalked his first victim from the time she was 13 and for the next five years.

He sent nude videos and pictures to the victim on at least ten different occasions, despite her repeated requests not to. Price confronted the teenager at her high school and made lewd comments about having sexual intercourse with her.

While there, Price touched the victim's shoulder and attempted to hug her, but she pushed him away. Rice then attempted to grope the victim.

Later, in November 2021, Price threatened to release nude photos of a second victim because she had not performed any sexual acts on him.

On October 21, 2023, Price contacted a 14-year-old child and met her at Union Station. Here, Price attacked the teenager in his car.

Price was arrested on December 1, 2023 while studying at Gallaudet University.

Price was sentenced to 30 months in prison for second-degree child sexual abuse, plus 180 days for attempted stalking and 120 days for attempted extortion, all sentences to be served consecutively, followed by five years of probation.

Price must also register as a sex offender for ten years.
