Steve Ogollla remembers an accident in which he lost many family members over the past two years

City Attorney Steve Ogolla has spoken about the traumatic events he has had to endure over the past two years.

In an emotional social media post, Ogolla recounted a near-fatal road accident in February 2022 and shared a photo of the wrecked KDG Nissan he was driving.

Ogolla revealed that in addition to surviving the accident, he also suffered great personal losses, including the deaths of his brother, nephew, niece and several cousins.

Reflecting on his difficult journey, he advised his followers not to take social media at face value, as much of the suffering in life happens behind the scenes.

“In February 2022, I was driving this car and had a terrible accident that almost killed me. In the meantime, I lost my brother, nephew and niece, cousins, close friends and relatives. A lot of pain happens offline. Don't take anything you see on social media seriously,” Ogolla wrote.
