Shots fired at Democratic Party campaign office in Tempe, no injuries

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) – Shots were fired at a Democratic Party campaign office in Tempe and the building was damaged.

Investigators said police arrived at the office near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive on Monday and found gunshot damage.

Nobody was injured.

The case is currently being investigated as a property crime because no one was in the office at the time of the shooting.

“Overnight, multiple shots were fired at our coordinated Democratic Party campaign office in Tempe. We are grateful to Tempe police for their quick response and are fortunate that no one was present or injured,” said Sean McEnerney, the DNC's coordinated campaign manager in Arizona.

The Mesa Forensic Unit and Tempe PD are currently investigating the incident.
