Man accused of sexual exploitation of a minor changes his plea

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – The man accused of sexually exploiting a minor changed his plea in federal court Monday.

Oscar Martinez-Olson, 33, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor.

In his statement of facts in the case, Martinez-Olson admitted that between December 2020 and March 2023, he persuaded two minors under the age of 12 to engage in sexually explicit conduct using the social media app Snapchat.

Martinez-Olson faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in a state prison for his crime.
