Politicians and entrepreneurs in deadly drama! – Nachrichten AG

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Mumbai has officially taken over the murder case of Abhishek Ghosalkar, a leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), following a verdict of the Bombay High Court. The shocking incident involving Ghosalkar and local businessman Mauris Noronha took place on February 8, 2024, in Borivali-Dahisar. Noronha later committed suicide. The case was initially investigated by the MHB Colony Police and then handed over to the Crime Branch. Ghosalkar's family pushed for a more thorough investigation as they suspected inadequate handling by the local authorities. Tejasvee Ghosalkar, Abhishek's wife, demanded an independent probe as she doubted the integrity of the investigation.

The CID investigation revealed that Noronha had allegedly used a licensed firearm registered to his bodyguard Amrendra Mishra to fire before turning the gun on himself. Mishra was arrested under the Arms Act. The Supreme Court stressed the importance of investigating all aspects of the case and highlighted that failure to do so could compromise justice. This decision marks a significant turn in the investigation, which has attracted attention due to the Ghosalkar family's political connections in Mumbai's political landscape, as detailed by www.deccanherald.com.
