While Mali secretly explores another side of his artistic talent, he is unsure if now is the right time to share it with the world.

In next week's episodes, Kirby stumbles upon some artwork that Mali created in his spare time.

Kirby points out that this style is very different from the one Mali uses when working on surfboards in the shop.

Despite his friend's effusive praise, Mali dismisses Kirby's interest in the project, claiming that he was planning to abandon it.

Kirby is shocked and urges him to reconsider. Hoping to encourage him, Kirby buys Mali a blank canvas and some art supplies.

When he is alone, Mali carefully begins painting and later shows Kirby the finished product.

Mali expresses her gratitude to Kirby for getting him out of his comfort zone, but the impulsive Kirby soon goes further and reveals that she has been researching art competitions.
