Officials release the name of an ImOn employee who was electrocuted while moving his Iowa City home

IOWA CITY Iowa (KCRG) – Officials have released the name of the person who died from electrocution during a house move in Iowa City on September 11.

Jay Enyart, 40, of Cedar Rapids, died after the incident in the emergency room at Iowa Healthcare in Iowa City.

Iowa City Police and Fire Departments responded to the electric shock shortly before 10 a.m. that day in the area of ​​Herbert Hoover Highway and Eastbury Drive.

The cause of death was determined to be electric shock.

An obituary for Enyart states that he was a graduate of Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School and worked in the maintenance department of ImOn Communications.

A memorial ceremony took place on September 16th.

Earlier this month, ImOn released a statement confirming that Enyart was an employee.
