Manchester City have won their last 15 games against Watford in all competitions.

In the cup, Watford have been eliminated in their last six encounters against City.

Having just played a tough Premier League title clash with Arsenal on Sunday, City are now about to play another home game, having also played in the Champions League last Wednesday.

For this reason, it is unlikely that their star starting eleven will be used in this encounter.

Erling Haaland started both the games against Inter and Arsenal without being substituted and will therefore certainly be taken out of the squad ahead of the Premier League game against Newcastle on Saturday.

This is their first game where they can really rotate the squad and give playing time to many of their juniors and reserve players who are hoping for more minutes and experience.

Rico Lewis has already started four times this season, compared to just eight last year.

With the return of Kyle Walker and the absence of Lewis against Arsenal, he could make a welcome and safe return to the starting line-up and cause problems for the Bees in both attack and defence.

Midfielders Nico O'Reilly and James McAtee, as well as new signing Matheus Luiz Nunes, could also make it into the squad despite their limited playing time so far, although the midfield is very busy and competitive.

Nunes was bought from Wolves for around £50 million last summer but has made little more than a brief appearance on the pitch this season and this clash is the perfect opportunity for him to make an impression.

He has provided an assist in each of his three appearances so far and will be a goal-scoring challenge to watch out for on Tuesday evening.
