Biden will appear in the studio at The View for a live interview

President Joe Biden is scheduled to be in New York on Wednesday to appear live in the ABC studio. The view.

“I have a historic announcement,” said co-host Whoopi Goldberg on Monday's show. “This Wednesday, we have the honor of having the sitting President of the United States with us. Joe Biden will be speaking live on The view.”

“Because we must not forget that he is still President of the United States of America,” she added as a reminder to the audience.

Biden will discuss his legacy, his accomplishments, his plans for the remainder of his term and his thoughts on the 2024 election.

The president will travel to New York on Monday evening and address the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday. He will also deliver remarks at the Global Coalition to Address Synthetic Drug Threats and the Bloomberg Global Business Forum. After his performance on The view, He will host a reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with First Lady Jill Biden.

The first lady previously made an appearance on the show on May 29, defending her husband's poor poll numbers and predicting they would turn in his favor if he ran for president. Biden ultimately withdrew his candidacy in July after a poor performance in the presidential debate against former President Donald Trump and pressure from influential donors, the Hollywood elite and powerful Democratic politicians.

Biden's television interview comes after an incident on Saturday in which he appeared disoriented and confused about what to do at the podium while introducing Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event in Wilmington, Delaware.

“I want to thank all of you for being here,” Biden said. “And who do I introduce next?”

The president then called out, “Who’s next?” before an announcer was heard intervening to introduce Modi, who politely approached Biden and shook his hand.
