1 dead in accident at construction site south of Denver in Arapahoe County

One person was killed at a construction site in Arapahoe County Monday morning. Officers were called to the scene of an accident on South Holly Street between East Arapahoe Road and East Weaver Avenue after a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

During the investigation, the northbound lanes of South Holly Street in the area were closed for several hours.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The events leading to the accident are being investigated.
