Lightning strike: Tragic lightning strike in Sehore claims three lives | News from Bhopal

Bhopal: A Lightning strike On Monday, three people died in the Ashta Area, near the village of Kothari in Sehore District.
The victims were identified as Dinesh (60), son of Devi Singh, Seema, wife of Babulal, and Saloni (28), daughter of Laxmi Narayan. The three reaped Soybeans in the fields when the storm broke, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.
Five other people were injured in the incident; one has been referred to Sehore for treatment while three are currently undergoing treatment in Ashta.
The injured include Raveena (30), wife of Dinesh; Jalta (45), wife of Ramesh Sen; Gulab Bai (60), wife of Dev Singh; Savitri Bai, wife of Laxminarayan; and Aruna (40), wife of Devraj.
Local officials including SDM Swati Upadhyay Swami, Tehsildar Pankaj Pawaiya and SDOP Akash Amalkar visited Ashta Civil Hospital.
Officials said that the government would provide financial assistance of Rs 400,000 to the families of the deceased. Following the tragic incident, grieving family members of the victims were seen standing outside the hospital.
