2 dead in shooting outside QuikTrip in Surprise

SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) – Two people are dead after a shooting in Surprise early Monday morning.

According to Surprise police, officers were called to a QuikTrip near Loop 303 and Bell Road around 5 a.m. on a report of multiple gunshots. When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot near a vehicle. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say no suspects are being sought and there is no danger to the area. There are no traffic restrictions in the area and neighboring schools are not affected.

The age and gender of the victims were not disclosed.

Surprisingly, detectives will be on site for several hours to investigate the background to the shooting.
