Seriously injured and 140,000 euros in damage

Ratingen- More violent Accident In North Rhine-Westphalia! A man was seriously injured in the crash in Ratingen and there was also significant property damage.

According to police, a 46-year-old man from Erkrath was driving his Mercedes Sprinter on the Dürerring at around 6:10 a.m. when he lost control of his truck near the Europaring.

The man then crashed into a Mercedes-Benz GLC parked on the side of the road. The GLC was then pushed into a parked Mercedes-Benz, which in turn pushed parked cars into each other from behind.

According to initial findings, the people who caused the accident were seriously injured and had to be taken to a hospital by rescue workers for further treatment.

The 46-year-old's Sprinter was badly damaged and was no longer drivable. The Mercedes therefore had to be towed away.

The other two damaged cars also had to be towed away from the scene of the accident by a towing company. They were a Dacia Logan, a Seat Ibiza and a Ford Fiesta.

It is estimated that the total damage to the cars amounts to almost 140,000 euros.

In addition, initial investigations revealed that the 46-year-old driver did not have a driving license.
