Teenager tortured and killed by girlfriend's father and brother | News from Bhopal

Bhopal: A 20-year-old youth was tortured and murdered by his girlfriend’s father and brother in GunaIn a calculated attempt to deceive the authorities, the defendant staged the crime scene as if it had been an accident.
According to police reports, the victim was beaten and then thrown against an electric fence. His body was then dragged to the side of the road and left there in a way that gave the impression of an accident.
Police have arrested the suspects. They said the victim, identified as Sonu Bhil (20), was killed by Raghuveer, his girlfriend's 55-year-old father, and his brother Sonu, 18, because they suspected that their daughter might elope with him.
The incident occurred on September 14, when the victim left home to attend a fair. He was lured to the accused's home under the pretext of an alcohol party. However, the real intention was to confront him about his relationship with her daughter.
A heated argument ensued, which led to a violent confrontation. The victim was hit on the head with a stick and then thrown against an electric fence, causing serious injuries.
To cover up the crime, the accused hid the body in a field and later disposed of it on the side of the road, claiming it was an accident.
After extensive investigations, the police identified the accused and arrested them on Sunday. They were then brought before the court and remanded in custody.
