Tragic case in Narela: Girl kidnapped and murdered by uncle

A four-year-old girl was tragically abducted and murdered by her uncle in Delhi's Narela district, police reported on Monday.

The body was discovered in a forest near her house after the suspect was arrested in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, authorities said.

The father reported the girl missing on Sunday evening. Later investigations revealed that the girl's uncle, who had been involved in an argument with her mother, was responsible for the kidnapping, a police officer said.

The efforts led to the arrest of the suspect in Sitapur, assisted by local police. According to his information, the child's body was found in the Swarna Jayanti Vihar forest near Narela, the official confirmed.

Legal proceedings under sections 103(1) (murder) and 238 (disappearance of evidence, giving false information to protect offender) of the BNS have been initiated. “The accused is on his way to Delhi for further investigation,” the official added.
