Chesapeake Bay wife charged with shooting her husband

CHESAPEAKE, Virginia – A woman has been charged in the shooting death of her husband, according to Chesapeake police.

Police have charged 45-year-old Heather Heck with his death. She is currently facing two charges: first-degree use of a firearm and second-degree murder.

Chesapeake investigates murder on Sea Palling Lane

On Friday at around 7:57 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Sea Palling Lane. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Chesapeake Police, the man is 46-year-old Christopher Heck of Chesapeake.

A court hearing for Heather Heck has been scheduled since this morning. No further details about this incident have been released.
