MP CM Yadav taunts Jharkhand CM Soren

Giridih (Jharkhand) [India]September 23 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday criticised Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and said it was unfortunate for the state that an elected chief minister had landed in jail. He also expressed disbelief over Soren's “shamelessness” in returning as chief minister after serving his prison term.

“The opposition leader (Hemant Soren) made his wife contest for this parliamentary seat (Giridih) and misled the public with lies to make her the chief minister. But only lies were spread. It is the misfortune of the state that an elected chief minister has to go to jail for his misdeeds… And look at the audacity of becoming the chief minister again after returning from jail,” Chief Minister Yadav said during a 'Parivartan Sabha' in Giridih, Jharkhand.

“This time the public will not be fooled. Whatever the opposition does, the public has seen through them,” he added.

“All states have benefited from the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but the ego of the Chief Minister of Jharkhand is so big that he refused to cooperate with the central government for the development of Jharkhand. They have taken the wrong path and I am sorry to say that as you sow, so shall you reap,” the Chief Minister said.

At the same time, Chief Minister Yadav praised Prime Minister Modi and noted that not only the people of India but also of other countries wanted a leader like Modi.

“Not only the people of our country but even the citizens of our enemy states say they wish they had a leader like Narendra Modi,” Yadav said.

In Jharkhand, elections for the 81-member Legislative Assembly are expected to be held by December 2024 as the term of the current government ends in January 2025. However, the Election Commission has not yet announced the poll schedule.

In the 2020 general elections, the JMM won 30 seats, the BJP secured 25 and the Congress 16. (ANI)
