One dead in traffic accident outside Wilton

WILTON, Iowa (KCRG) – One person is dead and three others are injured after a crash just outside Wilton in Muscatine County.

According to an Iowa State Patrol accident report, the accident occurred Sunday evening shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Taylor Avenue.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a vehicle traveling north on Taylor Avenue crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling south.

Two people, including the person killed, were flown by helicopter to UIHC in Iowa City.

A third person was taken to a hospital in Davenport.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved.
