Pedestrian struck and killed on I-17 southbound near Durango Curve

PHOENIX – A pedestrian was killed after an accident on Interstate 17 in Phoenix overnight.

The accident occurred early Monday morning in the southbound lanes near the Durango curve.

ABC15 emergency responders on the scene were told the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries, but further details were not immediately available.

The accident blocked traffic for several hours, but was reopened around 4:45 a.m.
