Three people arrested in Gilmer County murder case

The shooting death of a Jasper woman led to the arrest and detention of three Gilmer County men late last week.

A press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) states that Gray Anthony McClure, 21, Robert Gabriel Shoilekov, 17, and Davonnte Lavon Brehon, 18, all of Ellijay, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

The investigation has revealed that on Wednesday, September 18, officers with the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office were called to a call about a person shot at approximately 10:50 p.m. Officers and medical personnel responded to the 200 block of South Main Street in Ellijay where Mallory Warden, 19, of Jasper, was found in a car with a gunshot wound. The shooting occurred on Talona Road in Gilmer County. Warden was transported to the hospital where she later died.
