Free-roaming animals keep firefighters busy

In Bonn, the fire brigade was called out to an animal rescue operation on Monday morning. Two llamas and three goats had escaped and were running around the city. Where the animals came from is still unknown.

Early Monday morning, witnesses reported to the fire and rescue service control center that a llama was wandering around on the Hermann-Wandersleb-Ring in Endenich. According to a report from the fire department, the crew of a tank fire engine discovered a total of two llamas and three goats.

Grazing protected by the fire brigade

A short chase followed. Together with the police, the rescue team were able to catch the animals in the Kollegienweg area. The animals were led to a neighboring meadow where they were able to graze in peace, secured with fire service ropes. The owners are currently being sought.
