Man found dead, another seriously injured in Upper East Side

One man was found dead and another seriously injured in a suspected stabbing on the Upper East Side after an argument got out of control Sunday afternoon, according to police and other sources.

Police responded to a call about an assault around 1:30 p.m. at 232 East 95th Street and found the bloody crime scene.

The unidentified deceased had sustained injuries to his chest and neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other man involved, an unidentified 27-year-old, was still at the scene, police said, and suffered cuts all over his body.

His condition was serious but stable and he was taken to New York's Cornell Medical Hospital.

The police confiscated two knives. It is unclear who started the fight.

The medical examiner's office has yet to determine the victim's cause of death.

No arrests have been made yet and investigations are ongoing.
