NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a man connected to a stabbing in Manhattan Friday night.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 8:43 p.m. in the area of ​​1st Avenue and East 14th Street. A 29-year-old man was walking down a flight of stairs when he accidentally collided with an unknown man. After a brief verbal argument, the attacker pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

The police have released media showing the perpetrator allegedly responsible and are asking for any information that could help identify the suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD.

  • Cumberland Police execute multiple arrest warrants

    Cumberland, MD – Cumberland Police officers executed several warrants Thursday, resulting in the arrest of Thomas Eggleston and Chandler Rhodes.

    On Thursday, officers served Thomas Eggleston with an arrest warrant following an incident that occurred on Wednesday. Officers had initially gone to a residence on Central Avenue to serve Eggleston with the warrant. After making contact with him through an upstairs window and being denied entry, the apartment resident confirmed that no one had permission to be in the home. Eggleston was subsequently found in the residence and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was served with another arrest warrant.

    Thomas Eggleston, 29, of Cumberland, Maryland, faces several charges, including fourth-degree burglary, disturbing the peace, failure to comply with regulations and six counts of obstruction of public order.

    In a separate incident, officers also issued an arrest warrant for Chandler Rhodes on Thursday. The District Court of Maryland issued the warrant following an assault reported on Sept. 16. Officers responded to Decatur Street for the reported assault and found two people involved.

    The victim accused Rhodes of hitting him on the back of the head.
