Shooting in Elpyco: Dispute between family members ends with one dead

HOUSTON – Investigations are ongoing following a dispute between family members in which one person died.

Houston police said the shooting occurred Saturday night shortly after 8:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of Elpyco.

Officials said when they arrived they found a man dead inside a home.

According to authorities, initial information indicated an altercation between two adult family members in which weapons were drawn and there may have been an exchange of gunfire.

The other man involved in the incident fled the scene on foot, but later contacted authorities and turned himself in.

The exact relationship between the two men is unknown, but they are related, officials said.
