The terrible incident took place on Saturday afternoon (September 21) in Burghausen, Bavaria, near Munich. The 29-year-old acrobat was flown to hospital by rescue helicopter. The police now have an urgent request.

Paramedics on site within seconds

According to Circus Krone, the show act is the Ukrainian-Russian duo “Flash of Splash”, winners of the Bronze Clown at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo, who have been working for the Munich circus since 2019. They are two highly professional artists on the straps. These are straps used for aerial acrobatics.

Circus Krone announced that the acrobat Amalia Avanesian, who was affected by the accident, was given first aid by paramedics just a few seconds after the accident. An emergency doctor later took over the treatment and a rescue helicopter rushed to the scene.

“The entire Circus Krone team hopes and prays”

However, the company had no information on her current health status on Sunday. “The entire Circus Krone team hopes and prays for Amalia Avanesian's quick and full recovery.”

According to the police, the artist and her 48-year-old partner wanted to perform a free-floating trick when the woman slipped for reasons that are still unknown. They suffered serious injuries when they fell. The police are now asking all of the almost 3,000 visitors who may have filmed the incident to make their footage available to the police.
