BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — The manhunt is underway for suspects believed to be responsible for the killing of four people in a mass shooting in Alabama on Saturday night.

Birmingham Police Officer Truman Fitzgerald told reporters Saturday night that police were ready to “hunt down” the suspects. Officers were called to the Five Points South area of ​​Birmingham just after 11 p.m. Saturday night, where they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both people died a short time later.

A fourth victim later died in hospital.

According to police, at least four of the numerous other injured people are in critical condition; all of the victims were lying either on the sidewalk or on the street.
