21-year-old stabs salon colleague and her parents in Delhi, “was angry with her because she avoided him”

A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his colleague and her parents to death in their apartment in West Delhi's Khyala area. The woman and her parents are currently hospitalized and their condition is reportedly stable.

According to a report by NDTV, the police said that the suspect Abhishek was a friend of the woman and both worked at a salon in Rajouri Garden. However, the woman reportedly started avoiding him in the last few months, which angered Abhishek.

At around 9 am on Saturday, Abhishek visited the woman's house and attacked her with a knife. When her parents tried to intervene, he attacked them too. He has now been charged with attempted murder.

Three injured in knife attack in Karnataka

On September 18, another stabbing attack occurred after a Ganesh immersion procession in Belagavi, Karnataka, in which three participants were injured. The victims, identified as Darshan Patil, Satish Pujari and Praveen Gundiagola, were involved in an altercation that escalated after the event.

Belagavi Police Commissioner E. Martin said the incident occurred near the Civil Hospital and not during the procession itself. A minor altercation occurred during the Ganesh immersion procession when two people clashed while dancing. Police present at the spot intervened and separated the people to prevent the situation from escalating.

However, after the train had ended, one of the participants returned with friends and attacked the three victims with a knife. Initial investigations indicate that there had already been hostilities between the accused and the victims, which may have played a role in the attack.

Commissioner Martin said: “The incident did not occur during the procession. Preliminary investigations revealed that there was a physical altercation during the procession. After the procession ended, we learned that there was already some animosity between the victim and the accused. They were all friends and that is why they came together as a group to attack.”
