Shooting rampage in Birmingham, Alabama, leaves four dead and many injured

Late Saturday, a tragic incident occurred in Birmingham, Alabama, in which at least four people were killed and numerous others injured in a mass shooting.

Authorities found the bodies of two men and a woman at the scene, while a fourth victim later died of gunshot wounds in hospital.

According to BBCBirmingham police officer Truman Fitzgerald said: “Multiple shooters fired multiple shots into a crowd” in the Five Points South area.

However, no suspects have been arrested yet.

The shooting occurred in the Five Points South neighborhood on Magnolia Avenue, known for its nightlife.

Witnesses outside a shisha and cigar lounge reported that some of the shots sounded like they came from a fully automatic weapon.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been more than 400 mass shootings in the United States so far this year. A mass shooting is defined as an incident in which four or more people are injured or killed.
