According to police, the artist was trying to perform a trick with a 48-year-old partner at a Circus Krone performance last Saturday when she slipped in front of the audience and then fell into the depths.

In the accident in the Altötting district, the woman suffered injuries so severe that her life was in acute danger. She was treated by emergency doctors and, after initial treatment, was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter for further treatment.

The Circus Krone has been performing in Burghausen since Thursday and will continue until this Sunday evening.
