Delhi: 2 businessmen receive extortion calls from Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs – Delhi News

Days after the owner of a gym in southern Delhi's Greater Kailash district was shot dead, two businessmen claimed they had received threatening calls from the gangs of Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara.

The businessmen said they would be killed if they did not pay the extortion amount of Rs 50 million each demanded by the gangsters.

A song producer, Aman Batra from Greater Kailash, claimed that he received a ransom call of Rs 50 million from a henchman of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A construction worker from Sainik Farms also received a call from Rohit Godara demanding Rs 50 million from him. Rohit Godara threatened consequences if he did not pay the money.

The police filed a complaint about the extortion calls the businessmen had received. The cases were forwarded by the local police to the special cell.

On September 12, 35-year-old gym owner Nadir Shah was chatting with another man outside the gym when a man in a checkered shirt approached him and shot at him indiscriminately. The entire sequence of events leading up to the shooting was captured on CCTV.

According to police sources, the gunman fired 11 shots at Nadir Shah, who had a criminal past, eight of which hit him and killed him instantly. The shooting is believed to have occurred as a result of a gang war.

Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for the shooting. Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, currently lives in the US. He has been hiding abroad for the last two to three years and operates from there with his gang.
