Two people injured in accident on SR-247 in San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County, California. – Two people were seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in the community of Landers in San Bernardino County, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident was reported around 2:09 p.m. on State Route 247 near Rattlesnake Canyon Road, just past mile marker 247.

The accident involved a white Ford pickup truck and a 36-foot motor home.

An off-duty firefighter who arrived at the scene before rescuers informed authorities that two people needed to be rescued immediately.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued the victims.

Two helicopters were dispatched to the scene of the accident to transport the two seriously injured people to the hospital.

The southbound lanes of the highway remained closed after the accident.

The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
