Two-vehicle crash on Macon Co 56 in Macon Co leaves one dead

MACON COUNTY, Alabama (WTVM) – A Tuskegee man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Macon County.

According to ALEA, the accident occurred on Friday, September 20, at approximately 3:18 p.m. on Macon County 56 near Washington Blvd. They said Kendarrious D. Chandler, 28, was fatally injured when the 2004 Honda Accord he was driving collided head-on with the 2024 Toyota Highlander driven by Jennifer E. Pannell, 49, of Tallassee.

Officials also said Chandler was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
