Martha Stewart reportedly infuriates Netflix when she CONDEMNS the documentary about her life after flying to the premiere on the streamer's private plane

Martha Stewart has reportedly angered Netflix after she criticized “Martha,” the streamer’s documentary about her life.

The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and the 83-year-old domestic goddess flew to the Rocky Mountain City and back on Netflix's private jet.

“As you can imagine, Netflix is pissed,” a source told Page Six. “Martha was seen arriving and departing from the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado on a private jet owned by Netflix.”

At an event following the premiere, Martha called the documentary “lazy” and “not the story that makes me who I am.”

Her problem is that, in her opinion, the documentary focuses too much on her trial and subsequent imprisonment for insider trading in 2004.

Stewart reportedly said RJ Cutler, the film's director, refused to change anything while attending the 2024 Retail Influencer CEO Forum.

“I try not to speak publicly about the things I don’t like, [as] “This is not good business,” she said during a conversation onstage with Joanna Coles, chief creative and content officer of the Daily Beast.

She then added, referring to her doctor, “I can talk a little bit badly about that,” adding, “It's more about my stupid process, which was so unfair.”

“I had a collaboration agreement,” Martha said, but Cutler “didn't want to change anything,” even when she objected to the second half of the film, which dealt with her legal battle.

In the end, Cutler had the final version, Martha is not happy with the film and Netflix obviously doesn't like that because they flew her to Colorado on their private jet.

And it annoyed her that the film also included an interview with former Manhattan U.S. Attorney and FBI Director James Comey.

'[Cutler] has a picture of Comey [in the doc]' she continued, 'and Comey says, 'Oh, she's going to prison for lying, not for committing a crime' – such nonsense.

'And [he doesn’t put] including: “Comey was fired for lying.”

Comey was fired by Donald Trump in 2017 after his handling of Hillary Clinton's emails and the investigation into Russian election interference was widely criticized.

“As a documentary filmmaker, I would incorporate that,” Stewart continued, “so that's the laziness part.”

But the star of “Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party” may have the final say. “Netflix has already asked me if I want to do another one,” she said.

Martha will be released on Netflix on October 30th.
