BBMP: Chief of Mahanagara Palike School in Bruhat Bengaluru demands action after attack on Pourakarmikas | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: The Special Commissioner (Administration and South) of BBMP has written to the Deputy Director General of Police (ADGP) and the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement, calling for immediate legal action after five women Subscribe were attacked and Abuse based on caste in Bharat Nagar. The incident took place at around 11:30 am at 14th Cross, Bharat Nagar, in Ward 72, where garbage collectors Shanta, Lakshmi, Anniyamma, Muniratna and Ramakka were physically assaulted by a local resident, Chandru, and his mother. A complaint was filed at Byadarahalli police station.
The BBMP's letter to the police demands immediate legal intervention to ensure a safe working environment for all Pourakarmikas. Tushar Giri NathChief Commissioner of BBMP, said, “We will not tolerate any disrespect towards our Pourakarmikas; their dignity and morality are of utmost importance to us.”
