Zazai and Raza help Jo'Burg Bangla Tigers to an 8-wicket win over Durban Wolves at Cricketnmore

Durban Wolves started with ten runs from their first two deliveries when Sharjeel Khan attacked Luke Wood in the first over. At the other end, however, Will Smeed lost his wicket for a duck to Adam Milne in the next over as he went into the attack.

Immediately afterwards, Sikandar Raza went on the attack and, together with Luke Wood, slowed down the Durban Wolves' scoring rate, which led to the decisive wicket of Sharjeel (29) in the fourth over at 35-35. Next up were New Zealanders Colin Munro and Mark Chapman, who went on the attack from the start.

However, Antum Naqvi managed to castle Munro (10) before he got going and by half-time Durban Wolves were 47/3. Chapman was then joined by Regis Chakabva as they began to regain momentum.

The seventh over proved to be crucial for Durban as Chapman hit a big over against Karim Janat with a six and a boundary, taking the score rate to over 10 per over. Chapman took on Raza in the next over and continued to attack before being caught LBW for 38.

In the final overs, Chakabva (13*) and Tinotenda Maposa (11*) made good use of the long handle and the Wolves ended their innings with a score of 106/5. For the Tigers, Adam Milne had bowled a blinder and conceded only 9 runs for 1 wicket in his 2 overs.

For Jo'Burg Bangla Tigers, Mohammad Shahzad and Hazratullah Zazai took the lead, starting with an 8-run over against Mohammad Irfan. In the second over, Zazai batted the first six innings as they made a fast and solid start. Zazai took the chance to up the ante in the third over when he took a hat-trick of boundaries against Mohammad Rohid Khan to take the Tigers to 36/0 after three overs.

Zazai was in no mood to slow down and in the fourth over, the Tigers' opening partnership reached the 50-run mark. Zazai (44) too was on his way to his half-century before Irfan knocked over the bat and sent the batsman back to the hut.

Kusal Perera came in with a drop and started off on a high note, hitting sixes off the first delivery he faced. At half-time, Perera and Shahzad (13*) were strong and the score was 69/1.

However, Perera was taken out in the next over as Tiripano had his number with 23 runs from 7 deliveries. But the Tigers marched on when captain Sikandar Raza came in and hit 10 runs off his first two deliveries, much to the delight of the crowd at the Harare Sports Club. At this point there were still four overs to play and the Tigers needed 15 runs to claim victory.

In the seventh over, a sixer from Raza (20 not out) took the Tigers to the 100-run mark and the formalities were completed in the eighth over when the captain smashed the ball away to the boundary to register a comprehensive victory.
