Odessa man sentenced to probation after fleeing from accident while under the influence of alcohol

An Odessa resident was sentenced to five years probation after admitting to fleeing the scene of an accident while under the influence of alcohol earlier this year.

The incident occurred in May when the man drove into the oncoming lane while under the influence of alcohol, resulting in a collision.

The Schuyler County District Attorney's Office reported that Lucas T. Schock, 42, pleaded guilty on September 5 to first-degree reckless endangerment (a class D felony) and driving under the influence (a misdemeanor).

As part of his sentence, Schock must install an ignition interlock device and complete a victim impact assessment. His driver's license was also revoked.
