Rotherham child molester Neil King sentenced to 21 years in prison

An NCA spokesman said King began abusing the first victim in the summer of 2008, along with his then girlfriend Louise Tye.

Ms Tye, who was charged with inciting a child to engage in sexual conduct and causing the neglect or abuse of a child, died late last year while awaiting trial with King.

At one point, the girl was accompanied by her best friend, who was about 13 or 14 at the time, and King abused them together, prosecutors said.

After suffering several months of King's abuse, the first victim managed to escape for a time.

However, he later tracked her down and attacked her at her new address in 2010, the NCA spokesman said.

King took advantage of his position of trust to offer the two girls gifts, money and sometimes alcohol and drugs, added the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which also helped bring the case against him.

Following the verdict, NCA senior investigator Stuart Cobb said: “Sixteen years ago, Neil King brutally sexually abused two young girls. Today he is in prison because of the victims' courageous testimony and the determination of National Crime Agency officers to seek justice.”

“This case shows that it is never too late to report sexual crimes. That is why I urge anyone who was abused as a child to report it to the police. The reports are handled by specially trained officers.”
