Bristol Police to appeal Cotham sexual assault conviction in 2023

The police have released this picture of the man they want to question

Bristol Police are asking for the public's help in solving a sexual assault that occurred in the city in 2023.

A man committed the offence by touching a woman in a supermarket on Abbotsford Road in Cotham at around 11.30am (BST) on 16 April.

Detectives from Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are seeking in connection with their investigation.

He is described as Asian, approximately 5'4″ tall, in his 30s or 40s, of slim build. He had short dark hair, facial hair and was wearing a dark jacket.

A police statement said: “Numerous investigations have been launched since the sexual assault occurred, but we have now reached a point where we need the public's help to move the investigation forward.”

“We ask anyone who knows this man or has any other relevant information that may assist our investigation to call 101 quoting call handler reference number 5223087757 or contact us online.”
