Man convicted of stabbing wife in Shadnagar-Telangana sentenced to life imprisonment

The convicted farmer J. Ramesh (36) grabbed a knife during an argument and randomly stabbed J. Lalitha (30). She succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a man to life imprisonment in the murder of his wife reported in Shadnagar in 2020.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him.

Convicted J Ramesh (36), a farmer from Annaram in Farooknagar, often got into arguments with his wife J Lalitha (30) and harassed her both mentally and physically over trivial matters.

After one such argument, he grabbed a knife and stabbed her indiscriminately. She died during treatment in the hospital.

Shadnagar police have registered a case of arrest of Ramesh.
