Several injured in crash on the B164 in Bischofshofen

There was a crash on Friday afternoon on the B164 in Bischofshofen (Pongau). Several cars collided, the local fire department reported in the afternoon. Several people were injured.

Access to the accident site on B164 difficult

Even the journey to the fire station was difficult due to the heavy traffic. In some parts of the city, traffic was at a standstill. When the firefighters finally arrived at the scene of the accident, the injured were already being cared for by the Red Cross. The fire service set up fire protection and distributed water to the people on site. In addition, spilled fuel had to be contained and traffic regulated.

In order to clear the road as quickly as possible, the police pushed all vehicles to a nearby parking lot. The cars were then picked up by the towing service.

After about an hour, the 16 emergency personnel from the Bischofshofen fire department were able to withdraw.
