Former UP resident extradited from California, charged with sexual abuse of minors

A 23-year-old man from Norway, Michigan, who now lives in California, was charged this week with multiple felony counts in connection with two alleged sexual assaults of minors. Trentin McWilliams is charged with a total of seven felony counts in connection with the assaults, which occurred in 2018 and 2022.

McWilliams was charged with one count of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of molestation of a child for an immoral purpose in the 2018 case, and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of fourth-degree sexual abuse in the 2022 case.
