A teenager's tragic decision due to his parents' refusal

A 19-year-old woman committed suicide in Dombivali in Thane district after her parents refused to give her a mobile phone, a police official said on Friday.

The tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening in Deslepada area, according to the Manpada police station officer.

“Her parents informed us that she was distressed because they had not given her a mobile phone. She then hanged herself in a room of her house. An accidental death has been registered and further investigations are currently underway,” the official said.
