Rakul Preet Singh relives the ‘DDLJ’ moment while shooting for ‘De De Pyaar De 2’

Mumbai: Actress Rakul Preet Singh, currently busy shooting for her next film De De Pyaar De 2 in Punjab, gave her fans a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action. The diva revealed that she has her own Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) Moment on set as I enjoy the picturesque beauty and iconic flair of the location.

Rakul, who has 23.7 million followers on Instagram, recently treated her fans to a series of photos from the sets of De De Pyaar De 2In the pictures, Rakul is seen posing in a casual yet smart outfit – shirt and jeans – while enjoying the rustic charm of an agricultural field in Punjab.

In addition to these landscape shots, she also shared some behind-the-scenes footage of her van, giving her fans an insight into her day on set.

The post is captioned: “Repacking mood… I don’t want to miss my DDLJ moment in Punjab ka khet.”

Rakul was referring to the iconic track ‘Tujhe Dekha To’ from the romantic musical ‘DDLJ’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, which was shot in the lush green fields of Punjab.

De De Pyaar De 2 is the upcoming sequel to the 2019 romantic comedy film written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali. Besides Rakul, the film starred Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles.

The sequel will star Ajay and R Madhavan. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.

In her private life, Rakul is now married to filmmaker Jackky Bhagnani. They married on February 21, 2024 in Goa.

Professionally, Rakul made her acting debut with the 2009 Kannada film. Gilla remake of Selvaraghavan's 7G Rainbow Colony.

She then acted in Telugu films such as Keratam, Venkatadri Express, Rough, Loukyam, Current Theega, Bruce Lee, Nannaku Prematho, Dhruv And Jaya Janaki Nayaka among other things.

The Hindi movies in which Rakul played the lead role are: Yaariyan, Aiyar, De De Pyaar De, Sardar Ka Grandson, Runway 34, Cutting Putli, Doctor G, Thank GodAnd Chhatriwali.

She was last seen in a Tamil vigilante action film. Indians 2Directed by S. Shankar, produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The film is the sequel to the 1996 film Indianand Kamal Haasan reprises the role of Senapathy.

Besides Rakul, the film also stars Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani and Nedumudi Venu in key roles.
