Man charged with fatal hit-and-run in Belleek

A 70-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident in County Fermanagh.

Previously, motorcyclist Richard Maze, also 70 years old, died in an accident on the Boa Island Road in Belleek on Thursday.

A man was later arrested and charged with negligent homicide.

He was also accused of failing to report an accident involving personal injury and of failing to remain at the scene of the accident.

He is due to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday, October 14.

All charges are being reviewed by the public prosecutor.
