This evening at 8:36 p.m., the Detmold fire department was called to a traffic accident on Hohenwart Street. Two cars had collided for reasons that are still unknown, with the roof of one vehicle hitting a house wall. Initial reports indicate that a person may still be trapped in one of the vehicles. Fortunately, the emergency services were able to give the all-clear quickly, as all three people and a dog had already gotten out of the vehicles.

The firefighters then took care of the safety of the accident site by disconnecting the batteries of the damaged cars and ensuring fire protection. After around 45 minutes, the emergency services, including an ambulance service with an emergency doctor, were ready for action again and handed the situation over to the police.
