Harsh criticism of Demi Lovato during the 'Sonny' era

Raven-Symoné told Demi Lovato that she wasn't “the nicest person” when they first met.

The 'That's So Raven' actress appears in her Disney Channel colleague Demi's new documentary 'Child Star'. The duo know each other from their previous days at the children's channel, but Raven has not yet forgiven Demi for completely forgetting that they even appeared together in 'Sonny With A Chance'.

In the documentary, Demi said, “When we first got on the phone to talk about this project, I said, 'I saw you on That's So Raven.' What an inspiration.' And you said, 'B****, I was on your show.' I was like, 'Oh my God, yes, she was.'” The 32-year-old actress has trouble remembering much of that time in her life because of her dissociation, a disorder that can cause forgetfulness as a result of past trauma, according to the American Psychiatric Association. Demi admitted that she was “difficult” to work with because she was “in so much pain.”

Raven, who guest-starred as Amber Algoode on “Sonny With A Chance” in 2010, recalled, “I mean, you weren't the nicest person. You didn't say, 'Welcome!' You didn't.” However, the 38-year-old star also understands the pressures that come with being a child actress and “didn't hold it against her.” She added, “Being the kind of person that I am and being in the industry as long as you have, I understand the glaze over the eyes. I didn't hold it against you. I just thought, 'Something's not right.'”
