Five people arrested after fatal stabbing in Teesside

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Teesside.

The 26-year-old man died following a stabbing on Hills Drive in Stockton-on-Tees around midnight on Thursday, Cleveland Police confirmed today.

The victim's name has not yet been released, but police said the victim's family is being assisted by specially trained officers.

Police confirmed this evening that they had arrested five people as part of the murder investigation into the incident.

All five suspects remain in police custody.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives have asked witnesses and anyone with relevant footage to come forward.

Teesside Live spoke to a man who claimed to have treated the victim at the scene.

He told the outlet he heard “high-pitched screams” and began “CPR” to help the man.

He added that the stabbing victim was still alive at the time.
