Motorsport professional dies in serious crash in Germany

The Italian racing driver Luca Salvadori succumbed to the injuries he sustained in a serious accident at the Frohburg Triangle Race.

Munich – A tragic accident overshadowed the Frohburg Triangle Race in Saxony. Luca Salvadori, an experienced Ducati rider from Italy, was killed in an accident during the last Superbike race of the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC).

Circumstances of the accident and further investigations

The accident occurred in the fast left-hand bend in front of the paddock when German driver Didier Grams crashed and Salvadori was involved in the incident. Despite rapid first aid on site and intensive medical treatment in hospital, Salvadori succumbed to his injuries on Saturday evening.

The exact circumstances of the accident have yet to be investigated. It appears that Didier Grams lost control in the fast left-hand bend in front of the paddock and crashed. Luca Salvadori, who was driving directly behind him, was unable to avoid the accident and was involved in the crash. Grams was lucky in his misfortune and escaped with broken bones.
