Highway 1 eastbound in Langley closed after fatal accident

Police have closed Highway 1 eastbound through Langley while they investigate a crash that killed a motorcyclist early Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the scene at 4:20 a.m.

“Initial investigations indicate that a car and a motorcycle were traveling east on the highway when they collided,” said a news release from Langley RCMP.

“Unfortunately, the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the collision.”

The highway is closed between Routes 232 and 264 and there is no estimated time for reopening.
