St. Clair County men sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children

Two St. Clair County men were sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexual exploitation of children.

According to court documents, Austin Ray Sabb-Visga, 30, and Todd Allen Sabb-Visga, 48, of Kimball Township were sentenced Wednesday (Sept. 18) after pleading guilty in May 2024.

The Sabb-Visgas sexually abused the children in their care and filmed the abuse. Austin also distributed the videos of the abuse to Todd and others.

In June 2023, Michigan State Police and the United States Secret Service became aware of the Sabb-Visgas crimes after an informant notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Austin had sent an image containing child pornography.

Police executed a search warrant at the Sabb-Visgas' home and seized several cell phones. Forensic examination of the devices revealed that one child had been abused for at least a year and at least two other children had been exploited.

According to court records, the Sabb-Visgas also pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse in St. Clair County. They were each sentenced to 50 years in prison for their state crimes.
